This morning I received an information that someone is organizing a skinfair at the end of September.I have been asked by several skin creators if it’s the skin fair at Vanity Universe.
I was very surprised ! Because last week Foxy I. im’ed me concerning the Vanity Universe skin fair.I have been asked for informations and cooperation,she said she is organizing a skin fair too,but has no date and venue yet.
I expressed my willingness to cooperate and gave her some informations,regarding the date,the venue (my sim Vanity Universe ) and so on.Then she said she isn’t interested in a cooperation.
I pointed out that it doesn’t make sense to host two skin fairs at the same time.I already announced the date of the vanity skin fair and she confirmed to choose a different date.And here comes the nice part…the date is 5 weeks before my opening.Oh yes,SL is a wonderful place for fair play,isn’t it ?
It’s not only about the idea,but they are sending invitations and many designers assume it’s a Vanity Universe invitation,due to the announcements I already posted. What a bad behaviour !
Anyway,I will host the Vanity Universe skin fair in November 2009 .( hmm,maybe the end of August is an option too-just kidding ). Donations for the aid organization Care will be collected during this event.

I don’t think anything is wrong having one 5 weeks before yours. Now if it was the week before, that would be a heartbreaker!
Look at the modeling agencies, that have shows ever two weeks.
They will have a big name designer, then in two weeks that same big name designer is having a show with another agency.
Also starting about the 2nd week in Nov. though the 2nd week in Dec.
is the worst time for fund raisers, due to the fact that there will be a lot of 5-10 day fund raiser’s in the SL fashion industry. Wish you the best! *send an invite please!
I’m not sure what the problem here is, other than it appears you want to have your fair FIRST. How is that not fair that she has hers over a month before yours? Stop already. You don’t own the term “Skin fair”, although your able to advertise yours more widely than others, due to your affiliation with the Vain Inc magazine. That doesn’t make you entitled to anything, it just gives you an opportunity that others might not have. Just do your part to make yours the best it can be, and stop claiming someone is being unfair.

i don´t stop .. its unfair .. before i made my date for the skinfair i look for a upcoming event for skins … and i found nothing
last week she ask me for cooperation. and yes i say i will. but then she want not.
and yes i don´t own the term “Skin fair”
but she publish nothing…. and yeah yet she made a skinfair in 4 weeks… yeah thats great ! it is total fair.

Schon alles auf unterstem Niveau, erst nach Zusammarbeit fragen und dann wenn man Fakten erfahren hat.. Och nö nu möcht ich doch nicht aber ich mach jetzt meine eigene Messe. Außerdem schütteln die Designer einen neuen Skin oder Shape auch nich alle paar Wochen aus dem Ärmel.So eine Messe ist toll man hat viele Designer an einem Ort, nur wenn ich mir jetzt nen Skin kaufe mach ich das in 4 wochen wohl nicht nochmal und es wird auch nicht viele Neuvorstellungen geben. Meines Erachtens nach also nicht die feine englische Art.
so sehe ich das auch floppy ich hab die dame dreimal nach dem termin gefragt. Aber angeblich gab es weder einen Termin noch einen Ort. Drei Tage später hat sie die ersten einladungen verschickt. Wäre sie ehrlich gewesen hätte ich ja an meinen Terminen noch was ändern können.
